Our Galaxy press has 2 heat settings. The 1st is an idle setting and the 2nd is your pressing temperature.
If you are ready and have all of your cups ready you can have them set to the same temp. If you are working at a slower pace you can set your idle temp lower.
Your press will come up to temperature. Insert your cup. The temperature will start to drop. It is very sensitive to the cup temperature. This is normal. The press will bring itself and the cup both back up to your set temperature. Once it has come back up to temp, your countdown will start.
Recommended settings
Tumblers - 175c / 345f 20 seconds and flip for an additional 20 seconds
Mugs - 195c / 383f 60 seconds (If doing 2 mugs at a time insert them with both bottoms to the inside)
