Try our favourite chalk paste recipe! Add Chalk It Up to Country Chic chalk style furniture paints to make out of this world chalk paste. Less Chalk It Up chalk powder is used when your starting paint is already chalk-based paint.
Make Chalk Paste
Add Chalk It Up Chalk Powder to acrylic paint to make thick creamy chalk paste. Approximately a 1:1 ratio. 2 tbsp Chalk It Up mixed with 2 tbsp paint. More or less until desired consistency is reached.
Make Chalk Paint
Add Chalk It Up Chalk Powder to latex paint to make matte, creamy chalk paint. Chalk paint has superior adhesion and distresses beautifully. Pre-mix approximately 8 tbsp Chalk It Up powder with 4 tbsp water until smooth. Add to one cup of latex paint and keep mixing until smooth.
